She holds a Bachelor f Arts, Majoring in two-dimensional studies from the University of Namibia. Melanie Sarantou writes about Kirsten saying that “early in her career, Wechslberger sought holistic experiences through the arts and unsurprisingly, her oeuvre has become expansive without boundaries between art, craft, design and performance, multimedia and multi-sensory art.”

Wechslberger has exhibited extensively locally and internationally. Her work is housed in various collections.  ‘I am the most me when I am able to express things practically … feel the clay, paper, metal’ (Wechslberger 2014).

As a new year begins it is common practise to set new resolutions to set higher standard to be reached, this artwork can be a reminder to take all the resolutions and goals one step at a time and we are sure to reach it, Baby Steps until we master the skill and keep moving forward.

We would like to wish you a happy and prosperous 2018.
