Vacancy: Human Resources Manager

The National Art Gallery of Namibia (NAGN) is the leading institution for celebrating, collecting, preserving, exhibiting and researching visual art and craft as a component of our national identity, cultural heritage and human connectedness.

Key performance areas:


Execute the Human Resources administration and management function, including staff welfare, discipline, recruitment and selection. Will be expected to formulate required policies, policies amendments and ensure compliance to policies and relevant Acts.


Educational and experiential requirements:


  • An NQA level 7 qualification or equivalent in Human Resources Management. Additionally at least five (5) years Human Resources management experience at management level.   Proven aptitude with MS Word and Excel are required.


General requirements:

  • A self-starter with excellent administrative and communication skills.
  • Able to perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  •  Excellent  Human Resources background
  • Able to interpret relevant Acts and policies
  • Excellent  People’s  Management skills


Position to be filled from 01st March 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
