The NAGN has a qualified curatorial team, beside providing curatorial work for artist exhibiting in the NAGN, their job also includes developing a public interest in art, ensuring that works of art are accessible and exhibited to public for both viewing and research purposes. The curatorial team also promotes public enjoyment and the understanding of visual art and fine art.
The National Art Gallery of Namibia offers a framing service at the framing workshop at its Gallery House in Robert Mugabe Avenue. This framing service is an income generating project for the National Art Gallery.
Gallery Space for Hire
Our exhibition spaces and the boardroom are facilities that can be utilised for events and or functions depending on availability. The exhibition venues are only available to events sensitive to and appreciative of the art on display.
The Gallery shop is the perfect place to end off one's visits to the NAGN. The arts and crafts stocked in the Gallery shop are collected from all 13 regions of Namibia. Whether it is pieces that come from as far north as the Katima Craft Centre, the south from the Karas Craft Centre, the Penduka Centre in Windhoek or artworks from individual Namibian fine artist, the Gallery Shop inventory is a true representation of the diverse peoples and cultures of Namibia and is the ideal place for tourists to pick up something to remind them of their trip to Namibia or take back a piece of Namibia to loved ones back home.
